I am a father of four boys, a singer-songwriter and I work in Aboriginal health. I live in Melbourne, Australia.
I really enjoyed reading your story of your Tasmanian adventures. Really nicely written and quite moving. I know Rima Truchanas who is Melva and Olegas daughter. Cheers, Jane Coker
Did you live in Box Hill in Victoria? Did you go to the Marist Brothers College?
Hi Susan – sorry for the delay in responding. No, that’s not me. Mine is too common a name – I even personally know two people by that name – check out Bruce D Watson on FB – maybe he’s the one.
I have a bible in my possession that may belong to the Watson family It has a list of Watson Births from 1824 to1865
It includes a Horace Watson born 11th January 1862 Horatio Watson born 6th March 1859, Edward Watson 20 July 1824, Elizabeth Watson 21st May 1837, Sarah jane Watson died December 22nd 1882 Adelaide and others. It possibly may have belonged to a relative in Hobart where I live and I feel that Horace Watson may be the fellow who had the contact with Fanny Cochrane Smith
